let's shoot together

Hey, I'm Jayme Riggleman!

Thank you so much for your interest in hiring me as your second or associate photographer. I am comfortable shooting by myself as a lead photographer or stepping back to get the shots you need from an alternate perspective while serving you as well as possible. Need a bottle of water? Unedited Galleries

Looking to view some unedited galleries with photos SOOC? Here are a few sample galleries from real weddings I've covered as a second shooter. All images in these galleries are unedited. One of my main goals is a second (or associate) shooter is to provide you with photos that are well exposed and well composed straight out of the camera. I am happy to adjust to your personal preferences as well. For example, I've worked with photographers who prefer photos to be slightly under exposed at the time of shooting. You will see this in one of the examples below.

Groomsman getting ready for wedding putting on jacket and pocket square photographed by Indianapolis second shooter

You were fantastic to work with! Your sweet nature was a joy to work alongside and you were also very professional and did everything and beyond that I needed from you as a second shooter. I am also grateful for you being reliable and very responsive when it comes to communication.

I honestly loved just about every image you took. They were near perfect and reflected the creativity and beauty of the day as I like to provide to my clients.

FAQ

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I am insured and proof of insurance is available upon request.

Are you comfortable shooting groomsmen alone?

Yes! I have a workflow to make getting ready photos and portraits with the groom and groomsmen smooth and efficient. I will move them to better light for getting ready photos when needed and I have plenty of ideas ready for portraits.

What is your goal as a second shooter?

While second shooting is a great way to grow a portfolio and I am looking forward to capturing some beautiful images, I realize that is not my main goal. My portfolio will never take priority over making the lead photographer's life easier on the wedding day! My hope and main objective as a second shooter is to be an ambassador to your brand and be a supportive team member that reduces your stress, thinks ahead and is available to help in any way all while capturing the images you need.

What photography training do you have?

I received a formal photography education from Pacific University and have continued my wedding-specific photography experience with multiple online and in person courses, including:
- Photography minor from Pacific University
- Katelyn James Second Shooter Course
- Katelyn James Lighting and Location Course
- Katelyn James Posing Course
- Katelyn James Consistency Course
- Katelyn James Composition Course
- Katelyn James Family Posing Mini Course
- Amy and Jordan Posing Course
- Tracie Maglosky Master Couples Posing Course

Why should I hire you?

Serving YOU and the clients well on the wedding day is my top priority! I have experience working with other lead photographers on several weddings and have photographed my own weddings as the lead photographer as well. I am comfortable shooting:
- Fully manually
- With prime & zoom lenses
- Safely with wide open apertures
- With on-camera flash
- Groomsmen alone
- Large groups

Tell me more about yourself

My journey into photography started at an early age when I was handed my first disposable film camera. I took photos of EVERYTHING and couldn't get enough! My love of photography continued through 4-H photography projects, a college minor, and photographing gymnastics at national and world level events. Since stepping into wedding photography, I am in love! I shot my first wedding as a lead in 2023. I love assisting other lead photographers not only by shooting and capturing additional images, but also by being a helping hand.

Do you travel?

I am located in Zionsville, just northwest of Indianapolis. I am available to travel approximately 1.5 hours from Zionsville, Indiana with no travel fee. I may also be available to travel longer distances, depending on the situation and compensation. I can be available to drive and meet at the venue separately. Or, if we live near one another, I am also more than willing to drive you to and from the venue so that you can relax before beginning the day. This would require mileage compensation at the current IRS rate.
